2026 USAMO/USAJMO Invitations Announced for Top AIME Performers
This year, students representing approximately the top 11% of all participants have been selected to advance to the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) or the USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO). Qualified students will receive an invitation email with details about their assigned competition site.
2026 HMMT Feb Contest Results Are Out!
The February 2026 Harvard–MIT Mathematics Tournament (HMMT) results have been released. Widely regarded as one of the most prestigious high school mathematics competitions in the United States, HMMT challenges students with rigorous individual and team rounds designed to test depth, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving.
2025-26 AIME Thresholds Announced by the MAA
On December 15, 2025, the MAA published the official announcement confirming that all AMC 10 and AMC 12 scores have been finalized and that the cutoff scores for AIME qualification and recognition awards are now available.


2025 HMMT Nov & PUMAC Contest Results Are Out!
The results for two of the most prestigious high school math competitions: HMMT (Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament) and PUMAC (Princeton University Mathematics Competition) have officially been released!
2025 Mathematical Olympiad Program Participants
Students who excel on the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) and USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO), and/or have been selected for the USA International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) Team are invited to attend this mathematical development program run by the MAA. USAMO/USAJMO Qualification Index Rule Change
We’re writing to share an important update about how qualification indices for USAMO and USAJMO will be calculated going forward. Below is a side-by-side comparison of the old versus new rules, as well as guidance on how to adapt.
Before (Old Index Rule)
USAJMO Index = (AMC 10 Score) + 10 × (AIME Score)
USAMO USAMO Index = (AMC 12 Score) + 10 × (AIME Score)
Now (New Index Rule)
USAJMO Index = (AMC 10 Score) + 20 × (AIME Score)
USAMO Index = (AMC 12 Score) + 20 × (AIME Score) USAJMO

USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) Winners
The USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) and the USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO) are an invite-only, proof-based competition for students who have excelled in the MAA American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 10 or AMC 12 and the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME).
